There are some new STK-certified rocket scientists in Ontario! York University students use STK in ENG 4350, Space Hardware Course, under the direction of their instructor, Hugh Chesser. Hugh encouraged his students to take the
STK Certification test by offering them extra course credit. This photo of Hugh and the students who passed the test shows them proudly wearing their “rocket scientist” shirts at the Algonquin Radio Observatory (46m -150ft diameter dish). The students were there to complete an assignment to calculate pointing angles for the dish to track a GPS satellite. The students are required to write their own code, then use
STK to check their work.
