KOMPSAT 3 (ARIRANG 3), GCOM W1 (SHIZUKU), SDS-4, HORYU 2 launch
A Japanese H-2A launched Thursday at 4:39 GMT from Tanegashima Space Center carrying 4 satellites to orbit. The satellites include:

- Kompsat 3 (Arirang 3) - a Korean remote sensing satellite that will provide high-resolution images for GIS, agricultural and oceanographic applications.
- GCOM W1 (SHIZUKU) - a Japanese observation satellite that will look at water circulation changes, including vapor amounts, wind velocity above the ocean, sea water temperature, and snow depths.
- SDS-4 - Japanese Small Demonstration Satellite - 4
- HORYU-2 - the Japanese High Voltage Technology Demonstration Satellite
