Space Day 2013

By: sclaypoole

We celebrated Space Day at AGI today, welcoming a local elementary school class inside (and outside) our doors to geek out with us. Third-graders from Merion Elementary School in Montgomery County were treated to presentations on "Robots in Space" and "Space Nerds" by our engineers, and participated in hands-on activities including building soft landers for an interplanetary robot and building and launching rockets!

Space Day is an educational initiative held the first Friday in May and is dedicated to achievements, benefits and opportunities in space use and exploration. Started in 1997, this is AGI's 11th year participating. We are always thrilled to share our enthusiasm for space with the next generation of explorers! Visit our Facebook page for even more pictures!
