A Proton-M launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on Friday carrying Yamal 300K and Luch 5B to orbit. Yamal 300K will provide television and high-speed Internet services to Russia. Luch 5B is part of the Luch system, the Russian counterpart to NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS), and will act as part of a data relay for the ISS.
