Join AGI for SSA demos, ice cream and satellite watching at AMOS next week

By: jlanders
Aloha! Grab a snorkel and get ready to dive into the technical deep end with AGI at MEDB’s 13th annual AMOS Conference, September 11-13 on the beautiful island of Maui. Space surveillance plays an integral role in space situational awareness (SSA), from identifying and characterizing on-orbit objects to assessing risks and sharing mission-critical data. Modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A) is important over the entire life cycle of a program, including re-purposing existing hardware and discovering new integrated solutions. AGI experts will be on hand in our booth to discuss and demonstrate analysis and visualization solutions for SSA such as:
  • Space catalog maintenance
  • Modeling, simulation and analysis
  • Electro-optical observations for SSA
  • Sensor tasking and scheduling
  • Launch characterization
  • Conjunction assessment and maneuver mitigation
  • Owner/operator data processing
The in-booth demos will be turning up the heat so we’ll be serving local Maui ice cream to keep you cool while we dish the latest SSA features. Also, don't miss presentations by our CSSI scientists and a poster session by our business partner, Orbit Logic: Orbital Debris Session, 11 September, 10:50 a.m. What Happened to BLITS? An Analysis of the 2013 Jan 22 Event - T.S. Kelso, CSSI Astrodynamics Session, 11 September, 3:10 p.m. "What is the 'Right' Answer?" – David Finkleman, CSSI SSA Sensor Tasking Approach for Improved Orbit Determination Accuracies and More Efficient Use of Ground Assets - Alexander Herz, Orbit Logic On Thursday evening, don’t let the trade winds set you adrift, but rather head up to the Pacific Terrace Rooftop at 8 p.m. for a Satellite Watching and Star Party. We will have a set of telescopes for you to track objects and identify stars. Meet some of the AGI ohana, including ExoAnalytic Solutions, who will be processing observations in real time. Once you work up an appetite watching the stars, refresh yourself with an umbrella drink and desserts to catch satellites as they go streaming across the night sky. If you blew out a flip flop and you can’t join us at AMOS, you can learn more about AGI’s solutions for SSA here.
