DSim Development Kit

DSim Development Kit The DSim Development Kit broadens the functionality of STK's DSim Extension by enabling users to customize data feed integration with STK. This offering allows for the creation of plugins that ingest data into and export data from STK in formats other than DIS and HLA while still providing DIS and HLA functionality. Users can create and deploy solutions to display, manage, and analyze simulation and real-time data via a flexible architecture that leverages AGI analysis and visualization technology.

The DSim technology uses MÄK Technologies' VR-Link toolkit to interact with the most common networked simulation standards and is an out-of-the-box COTS solution.

Why use the DSim Development Kit?

Customize the DSim Extension for STK, AGIViewer, and STK Engine (4DX)

Extend data feed compatibility beyond the DIS and HLA compliance included in the DSim Extension and those offered as specialty interfaces.

Trigger actions in external M&S tools based on events that occur in STK. These events can be set off based on entity interactions that involve STK analyses such as line-of-sight access; sensor coverage; communications; navigation accuracy and jamming coverage; and more. The ability to write custom plugins for this exchangeof event data is only available with the DSim Development Kit.

Process data before it reaches end users to aid interpretation and analysis. Examples include track correlation and selective filtering.

Standardize deployments and minimize training by preconfiguring the DSim Extension. Examples include display settings, airspace boundaries, new track alerts, and analysis tasks such as collision prediction.

Integrate data feeds into custom or third-party applications

The DSim Development Kit supplies integrators with a rapid solution for analyzing and visualizing data feeds in legacy software, new applications, and virtual globes.

Integrators can benefit from an off-the-shelf, professionally maintained, multi-threaded open architecture. This saves resources otherwise needed to establish and maintain generic functions such as multiple data- stream processing, data filtering, event processing, automated actions, and archiving and playback. The DSim Development Kit provides these functions immediately as integrated components that can be configured and customized to meet end-user needs.

With the DSim Development Kit, integrators can accelerate data feed implementations and spend more resources on customer-specific functions to interpret and analyze the incoming data.

  • Key Features

  • DSim Development Kit

    Interoperable with AGI analysis technology

Leverage immediate compatibility with AGI's desktop applications and software component libraries to access analytical functions for line-of-sight access; communications links; sensor coverage with real-world constraints; navigation accuracy and jammer modeling; and enhanced situational awareness of thousands of entity tracks in a 3D environment.

    Scalable

Use DSim's multi-threaded architecture to develop scalable solutions for demanding requirements.

    Microsoft COM-compliant

Develop DSim-based solutions with reusable software components, take advantage of Windows services, and simplify integration with other Microsoft COM (Component Object Model)-compliant and .NET-based applications.

    Plugin architecture

Extend built-in stream processing, filtering, events, actions, archiving, and playback with custom plugins. Develop plugins in any COM-compliant language, including C++, C#, Visual Basic .NET, and more, and use them interchangeably in any DSim-based application.

    Visual Studio-compliant

Build plugins and applications with Microsoft's widely used integrated development environment and leverage IntelliSense and other coding aids while integrating with other applications.

    Developer resources

Gain a rapid understanding of the DSim framework and facilitate development efforts with a developer's guide, object model library reference, code samples, and deployment tools.

    Data feed interfaces

Reduce development time with standard interfaces to common data feeds. Augment with specialty interfaces from AGI or custom interfaces built as plugins. To inquire on availability of specific feed interfaces, click here.

    Server-client capable

Accelerate development of server-based architectures with reference server and client applications that can be deployed in custom data feed solutions.
