GIS Analyst Extension

GIS Analyst Extension
The GIS Analyst Extension integrates STK with either Esri’s ArcGIS for Desktop or Engine runtime. This enables STK users to connect to any GIS format that Esri supports. STK leverages the Esri Map Document which permits all of the properties of the document to be preserved in the STK scenario. GIS Analyst is designed for users who interface with GIS data and those within GIS enterprise environments, such as intelligence collection planners, intelligence analysts, and military planners who manage, manipulate, visualize, and analyze imagery and geospatial information to assess a situation and make informed decisions.

GIS Analyst Extension
  • Highlights

    • Directly read and render Esri map documents in 3D
    • Work seamlessly with industry-standard GIS formats
    • Data from most sources supported by ESRI (local, networked, or server-based)

    Spatial interrogation of attribute data

The "GetInfo Tool" is similar to the Identify Tool found in Esri ArcMap allowing user to make rubber band style spatial sections, filter, and return information about each layer.

Promote layers to STK analysis objects

One or more layers can be selected and then imported into the STK scenario as analysis objects.

    Automatic projection transformation

STK performs temporal physics based analysis. This is done on a spinning globe that uses the WGS84 datum. If necessary, the data contained in a Map Document is automatically un-projected.
