Target acquisition operations involve locating and providing persistent surveillance over a specified area, so that targets of
interest can be continuously tracked and monitored for real-time situational awareness. STK supports these operations through
modeling time-dynamic target change detection, conducting imagery analysis, and visualizing dynamic relationships of multiple
assets using real-world environmental constraints. STK fuses these capabilities while integrating geospatial data for
high-fidelity analytics, allowing mission operators to:
- Import GIS vector data sets directly from geodatabases to create area targets, line targets, or ground targets for analysis
- Determine target acquisition times using complex mission constraints, such as terrain, lighting, and sensor fields of view
- Conduct radar performance analysis, including probability of detection and RCS
- Model target acquisition operations for Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (MASINT), IMINT, SIGINT, and other systems
- Design UAV and other aircraft routes with high-fidelity flight profile models
- Model complex sensors with variable pointing definitions and fields of view
- Design and modify flight plans to ensure continual coverage of targets by using STK/Scheduler
- Ingest live position and velocity data for real-time monitoring
