AGI space situational awareness software demos and papers at the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum

By: agorski

AGI is proud to be participating in the 18th Annual Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) in Singapore 6-9 December 2011.

As AGI’s lead systems engineer in the Asia-Pacific Region, I will be presenting two papers regarding AGI software for space situational awareness at this year’s forum.

On 7 December, we will be presenting AGI’s contributions to agriculture and food security by showcasing solutions to “Improve Satellite Imagery Acquisition with Commercial Software” during the Earth Observation Working Group sessions. This presentation will include a demonstration of our STK Desktop Satellite Overflight Tool for identifying satellites that can most quickly and most affordably meet users' specific satellite Earth observation requirements. The demo uses data from AGI’s Standard Object Catalog database of satellite mission capabilities along with our STK Software. Also on 7 December, I will present information to the Communication Satellite Application Working Group about how the Space Data Center, operated for the Space Data Association by AGI, is “Improving Safety and Efficiency of Space Operations through Collaborative Space Situational Awareness.” In this presentation, SDC capabilities available to all SDA members will be outlined, including conjunction analysis, collision avoidance maneuver support, RFI/EMI mitigation and geolocation support. Please join us at these informative sessions at APRSAF 2011.
