David Finkleman earns AIAA Bronze Medal for Excellence in Aerospace Standardization

David “Doc” Finkleman, senior scientist at AGI’s research arm Center for Space Standards & Innovation (CSSI), is in Orlando today picking up a 2011 Bronze Medal for Excellence in Aerospace Standardization from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Doc currently chairs the International Standards Organization Space Operations Working Group (TC20/SC14/WG3) and works internationally developing aerospace standards. He is a Fellow of the AIAA as well as the American Astronautical Society (AAS), and has organized and chaired many committees and conferences for both groups. This new honor adds to a long and illustrious career serving as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force and working for the Federal Senior Executive Service, NORAD, U.S. Space Command and for the last 7 years, CSSI.
