ManTech's Space Range extends the capabilities of our powerful Cyber Range (ACRE) to help customers address Cyber Resiliency of existing and future space system architectures. The Space Range allows ManTech to build comprehensive cyber-physical digital twins of complete environments by using Hardware In the Loop HIL), Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI), and virtualization – not just simulations.

These capabilities enable us to tie in physics-based modelling of on-orbit assets, to create real time network attenuation and latency, and add additional true-to-life conditions of the operating environment. These efforts provide customers with an environment that maximally replicates their existing enterprise so that they can perform cyber analysis and architectural forklifts, and practice complex architectural changes in a realistic and reloadable environment that ensures enhanced decision making.

About the speaker

Andrew Wallinger is the executive director of Analytics with the Innovation and Capabilities Office of the Chief Technology Officer at ManTech. Mr. Wallinger is responsible for leading several independent research efforts into security automation, space resiliency, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Mr. Wallinger has been with ManTech since 2014 and has supported the intelligence community for the last 15 years as a lead system engineer, lead Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), and principal systems architect, among other roles. He has led teams responsible for recapitalizing and rearchitecting several national information technology systems, migrating legacy IC systems to hybrid cloud environments, implementing security requirements supporting national security requirements, and maintaining operational systems across three continents.

These efforts have focused on the implementation of secure high-performance computing, deploying large-scale (20 petabyte) performance enterprise storage, and tailoring the implementation of security controls while maintaining processing performance within the IC.

Before joining ManTech, Mr. Wallinger worked for Northrop Grumman, providing system engineering and architecture support of several IC customers, and developing software to support electronic warfare and electronic countermeasure missions. He earned his Master’s degree in cybersecurity from Fort Hays State and his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certificate.
