After years of research and development, AGI has finally redesigned STK 11.6 to comply with the official Flat Earth Society’s model of the Earth. In addition to continuous support for all object types and corresponding analysis, you will be able to adjust both the 2D and...

...to flat Earth mode. You can toggle between spherical (WGS-84) and flat Earth (WGS-2019BC) under Edit > Preferences > Earth Shape.

In case it’s not obvious, this is an April fool’s joke. Building the 2D window was straightforward since the “Azimuthal Equidistant” projection centered at 90/0 gave me what I was looking for. The 3D window was trickier. I first changed the shape of the Earth in "C:\Program Files\AGI\STK 11\STKData\CentralBodies\Earth\Earth.cb" to a somewhat flat ellipsoid. While this gave me a good shape, it stretched all Earth imagery in a way I didn’t like. After a few failed attempts at reprojecting the imagery, I needed a better approach. Scott, our 3D model expert, volunteered to build me a model of a simple semi-sphere with the 2D map on top.
