Customize your World (or any Planet)

Do you have your own surface map that you would like to use in STK for visualization? Maybe it’s a map of the Earth with population density similar to this one. Or perhaps, it’s not a map of the Earth at all…it could even be a map of a different planet, such as this Mars elevation map.

All you have to do is use STK’s Terrain and Imagery Converter to convert your 2D map image. Then to change your 2D map image, open the 2D map properties and under Imagery, choose your new jp2 file that the Imagery Converter produced. For your 3D globe, open the Globe Manager and add your imagery there.
