As the director of AGI’s Center for Space Standards and Innovation (CSSI), Dan is the lead policy and analysis expert for AGI's Commercial Space Operations Center (ComSpOC). Mr. Oltrogge also serves as the program manager of the Space Data Center and is the founder and administrator of the Space Safety Coalition.
Mr. Oltrogge has contributed to the development of numerous international standards and best practices for space operations and debris mitigation under the auspices of ISO, CCSDS, CONFERS, ANS, and IAA. He also serves as chairman of the Global VSAT Forum’s industry-led “Best Practices for Sustainability of Space Operations” initiative to collect and endorse space sustainability best practices.
Mr. Oltrogge has a B.S. in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering from Iowa State University and an M.S. in aerospace engineering and astrodynamics from the University of Southern California.
