One small step for the Kalman filter, one giant leap for orbit determination

Are you into being the first to do something?  Well, do we have something for you!  We are releasing a brand new ODTK certification program, starting with a Level 1 Certification.  It is similar to the STK certification program, but designed for ODTK.  Since ODTK is less visual compared to STK, it may be intimidating at first.  It provides tremendous orbit determination capabilities though, so we’re doing our best to provide a visual-based training program that uses plain English and less tech jargon to get ODTK to the masses!

We hope to see you all in our two part virtual training program for the Level 1 Certification.

Part one will take place on 24 April 2019, from 12:30 - 3:30 PM EDT.  We will introduce ODTK and teach about:

• Sequential Processing (Filter, Smoother)
• Batch Processing (Least Squares)
• Initial Orbital Determination
• Initial State uncertainty vs. quality of the OD
• OD result validation (Consistency Check)
• Displaying results using STK

Part two will take place on 1 May 2019, from 12:30 - 3:30 PM EDT.  We will dig into:

• Stochastic sequences
• Tracker calibration
• Maneuver modeling
• Satellite force models
