AGI and Cesium announce joint Geospatial Analysis Showcase

As the uses and demands for geospatial data and analysis proliferate worldwide, system orchestration is essential. Legacy tools and methods simply cannot balance the quantities of data with the needs for rapid analysis. The GEOINT community needs a new generation of software solutions for organizing vast amounts of data, analyzing it quickly, and effectively communicating the results.

With these goals in mind, AGI and Cesium have announced the Geospatial Analysis Showcase, April 28, from 1-3:30 p.m., with a keynote address by Robert Cardillo, a former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Join us for discussion sessions related to

  • multi-domain operations,
  • geospatial server solutions, and
  • cloud-based analytics.

AGI’s digital mission engineering software, System Tool Kit (STK), is a platform for designing, analyzing, simulating, and operating missions. STK can model a broad array of missions and activities that are elemental to GEOINT programs, such as geospatial data collection opportunities, flight route planning, sensor modeling, coverage assessments, constellation design, and communications link analysis.

With Cesium, you can build time-dynamic 3D geospatial applications for a multitude of purposes. Cesium applications can simultaneously visualize many data types, overlay dynamic objects, conduct geospatial analysis, and share custom 3D maps across networks and devices both on and offline. To make geospatial data accessible over a network, Cesium’s tiling algorithms convert geospatial data into an optimized, open streaming, community standard format.

AGI has implemented this joint solution within its Commercial Space Operations Center (ComSpOC) and the US Air Force Air Mobility Command has implemented this joint solution within their Global Awareness Decision Support (GLADS) application. The NGA has also adopted a combined AGI and Cesium software solution for their Map of the World program.
